FAQs
Customer. We have sold some equipment to Canada can I have some advice on shipping it to Toronto?
Oakbridge. Certainly, where are the goods to be collected from and are they packed for export?
Cambridge, yes there are 200 cartons loaded onto 4 pallets.
O. Do you have the gross weights and the dimensions of the pallets?
C. Yes, the total weight is 1800 kilos, each pallet is 120 x 80 x 110cms
O. How quickly do you need them to arrive in Toronto?
C. By the end of next month, is that okay or will I need to send them by Air?
O. Seafreight transit will be about 21 days and cheaper than air, so I’ll quote you for that. Is it delivery to
door? If so, can I have the postcode?
C. Yes it is TO1 5DY
O. Good, one last question are the goods hazardous and do you require transit insurance?
C. Not hazardous, it is printed matter. Suppose we ought to insure.
O. Insurance is advisable, not that we have many claims. Container shipping is very safe. It is a percentage of
the value, do you have the value?
C. Not to hand.
O. No problem, I will give the percentage rate, give me your details and I will fax or e-mail a firm price to you.
